The Oldest 'County' Force'. The Wiltshire Constabulary is the oldest County Police Force in the Country. It was formed on 28th November 1839 following a meeting of the Quarter Sessions at Devizes.
In July 1920 the Police Committee authorised the Chief Constable to spend no more than £300 on the purchase of the Force’s first motor patrol vehicle, a Ford Model T was duly bought and registered with the number HR 2605 on 2nd September 1920.
The Force’s fleet of vehicles has grown considerably and now totals approximately 300 although still predominantly Fords.
This model has been commissioned to commemorate the 150th anniversary and bears the registration number of that first Model T.

Description: Black body, black chassis; black roof; black seat; chrome grille; chrome 12 spoke wheels; plain black tyres; chrome plated parts; type 3 rear doors; red rear lights; with base hole at rear of body; Wiltshire Constabulary emblem above 'WILTSHIRE CONSTABULARY' in gold lettering on both sides of van; 'POLICE' in white lettering on front of cab roof and on rear door.

Notes/Certificate: This model is packaged in either a maroon or a straw-style window box and includes a limited edition certificate of authenticity.
